To make adjustments for public holidays and general office hours (either permeant or temporary) please follow the below guide.


To login to your 3CX Phone System Management Console you need your 3CX link (/URL), username and the password. Please note this information would be only available to authorized persons on your account. To request credentials for accessing 3CX Management Console please send your request an email to 3CX@cybersquad.com.au


Method 1: If you already have received the login credentials from our team , including URL, username and password, use them to login.

Method 2: If you have received "a welcome email (with subject: Your User Account on your New 3CX System" email from ) from the3CX Communications SystemFor the URL to access 3CX Management Console, please ;

Please use the "Outside the office" link/URL as shown below. You must delete the word "webclient" from the end as we want need to access the management console and not the 3CX Web Client. The final link in your browser should looks like this https://YourCompanyName.3cx.com.au/

Use your extension number as the username and Web Client password to login to the console.


Once logged in, select Settings from the left panel sidebar select Settings and then click on Language & Office Hours.  Available Please note available options and icons on your dashboard might be slightly different based on system version and given access level and /credentials.

To add a new holiday scroll down to Configure Holidays section and press +Add and follow the instructions.

Name the holiday and fill in all required information as shown below. From the dropdown list you can select an existing audio file, or if you do not have one there there is an option to upload a new one. Ensure to change the time frame if required, default will be the entire day. Click OK when finished.

  • Chose a unique name for your holiday, select single or range of days, reoccurrence and a time (if it's not a full day holiday). 
  • Select, record, or upload an audio prompt (the message you want to be played for this specific holiday day/hours).

If no prompt is selected in above step, the default "Out of office IVR " (HOL)" message will be played triggered for calls on this holiday.

Once holidays have been added you can edit them by highlighting the holiday and clicking Edit. Or alternatively it can be deleted by clicking the X to the right if it is no longer required.

To change general office hours, use the Configure Office Hours section. Click on the corresponding time range on the particular day you wish to change -- in the example below we would like to change Thursday 07:05 - 18:50

As it stands, limitations with the system do not allow you to directly edit the time, so it will need to be deleted and a new time range entered for the system to update.

This will remove the entry for Thursday. Now click Configure under Thursday.

Update the Time Range as required and click OK.

The Office Hours for Thursday have now been changed to switch to the after-hours procedure at 17:10 as opposed to 18:50

If you need to revert back, please follow the same instructions.

*Note this is a system-wide Please note, "Out of office IVR (HOL)" can be different to your normal "Office Closed" message prompt.  To Play or Download the default HOL prompt, select "Digital Receptionists" from the left panel, select HOL Ext. and then click edit. Once you are in the "Out of office IVR" page, you can select or upload the prompt you want to be played for all holidays (Default HOL prompt). To Play or Download any system prompts click on Manage key.

Please note this is a global system setting. If you need to control change Office Hours at (or add a holiday) for individual branches/sites, you should navigate to "Inbound Rules" and select appropriate number/branch to update this information. Alternatively, please contact your Phone System provider for assistance.
